It's amazing how you use an extraordinary PC video game and let your imagination run free with it. The possibilities are endless. One person did a couple of video clips in dedication to a famous record label, Motown. I was surprised when I first viewed them. I never thought anybody would pull it off like that, but they did.
The first one I saw was video parody of the late Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrel singing "Ain't No Mountain High Enough." The sims in that video are spitting image of the two singers in the 60s. Another video parody I viewed was the Temptations, singing "Get Ready." Spitting images of the the original members in the group, the dance moves in unison are superb and I saw sims in the audience dancing to the music. I enjoyed watching that video. The third video parody I watched was the Jackson 5 singing "ABC" Real retro 70s clip for the video. I like it.
If I'm going to do a video parody of any motown artists or group, it would be Dinana Ross with "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" Marvin Gaye with "What's Going On," "Distant Lover," and "I Heard It Through The Grapevine," Mary Wells with "My Guy," and "Two Lovers," Stevie Wonder with "Signed, Sealed, Delivered," "Uptight," "Superstition," "I Was Made To Love Her," "Ribbon In The Sky" and "Lately," Temptations with "The Way You Do The Things You," "My Girl," "Just My Imagination," "Cloud 9," and "I Can't Get Next To You," the Supremes with "Baby Love, " "Reflections," "You Can't Hurry Love," and "Reach Out And Touch" The Four Tops with "I Can't Help Myself," and "I'll Be There," the Marvelettes with "Please, Mr. Postman" and "Don't Mess With Bill," the Vandellas with "Come Get These Memories," "Heatwave," "Dancing In The Streets," and "Jimmy Mack," Smokey Robinson and the Miracles with "Shop Around," "Track Of My Tears," "You Really Got A Hold On Me," "I Second That Emotion" "Ooh, Baby, Baby," "Tears Of A Clown" and "Mickey's Monkey." What I'm really interested in doing is a video parody of the late Rick James and Teena Marie with "Fire And Desire" I would also like to video parodies of the Mary Jane Girls with "Candy Man" and "All Night Long" and parodies from Debarge with "I Like It," "Time Will Reveal," "Love Me In A Special Way," and "A Dream."
I wonder if there are more people out there doing video parodies of Motown with Sims 2 animations. My only question is this: Do they have legal permission from the label itself to post the Sims 2 versions of thes famous and timeless songs on social media websites like Youtube? Well, we'll see.
In the meantime, enjoy watching these Motown videos Sims 2 style.

Customized Transportation
If I want to build and design a customized form of transportation for Sims 2 game or Sims 2 entertainment for the internet, then my first attempt would be the subway train. And why? Well, as a native New Yorker, I take the trains a lot growing up and I'm pretty fascinated by each stations info structure and architecture. From the old designs of yesteryear to today latest and modern designs.
I wanted to construct a model of the latest train car the R160, but I also wanted to construct the Red Bird (Model R-27) , the R-40, and the R-16. Those were the subway cars I grew up with and have fond memories of them. Lucky, there are photos posted online on the exterior and interior of each car. I'll use them as a blueprint to help construct the cars.
Which subway station will I duplicate for Sims 2? Well, my mind is set on the Stillwell Avenue station located in Coney Island, Brooklyn. The infostructure is phenominal, however it's a pretty big challenge to undertake. So I'll start with something simple: 207th Street and Broadway station in Inwood, Manhattan. I always wanted to make that kind of station for Sims 2. Other stations I would like to put on Sims 2 are 125th Street, 155th Street, 42nd Street, 34th Street, 14th street, West 4th Street, Canal Street and the South Ferry (the old curved station structure).
I was also thinking of adding a city bus to the Sims 2. Something like the MTA bus. That way my sims won't have to rely on taxis or their own cars to get around.
It would be fasinating to watch the sims take public transportation when I play the game or making shows. This project would be a 2 to 3 week time frame because I want to put everyting into detail when it comes to construction. If I'm successful with this project then I will add it to the game for a test run. And if it works out, then I will use as a prop for my Sims 2 shows. If I fail, then there's nothing left to do than to keep trying.
Until then, I will keep you posted with my progress.

My review on Chuch
Church, a gospel based comedy based of the everyday life of chuch folks with Sims 2 animation. This cartoon is created by Sean T. Plummer, a writer, entertainer and minister from Bridgeport, Conneticut, who also does all adult voices overs for the show. The mini series shown mostly on You Tube, is about the everyday lives of Baptist Christian church folks.
The show's main character is Black Preacher who is mostly outspoken and conceited at times. His wife, First Lady, who is mostly the voice of reason. Their 17 year old daughter, Trudy who is soft spoken and defiant to her father (she also has a dear diary segment called "Truly Trudy"). Trudy's long time best friend, the caring and obedient Keyboard Kidd.
Other characters in the series include the snobbish and flamboyant Choir Director, Black Preacher's older brother who is also a minister and his two daughters, the talented rapping Lexi and little Mooka who is a very big Justin Bieber fan. There's alsoinclude the snobbish and flamboyant Choir Director, and the harlarious Christian rapper Lil' Ricky, who both he and Choir Director are always at each other's throats.
Also in the series, Lil Ricky and Lexi formed a gospel rap group called the Church Thugs. This group consists of Lil' Ricky, Lexi, Kev Lite, Bizzy Blizzard Blake and Talka Lotta Smak. They already released an album titled "Pew Thuggin" on February 22, 2011 and released a few songs and music videos like "Who Told You You Could Preach" and "My Mom Takes Forever After Church," which are now available on iTunes, Napster and Amazon.com I'll write my review on this group later on in my blog.
The show itself a real laugh out loud comedy with fresh, innovative and unique dialogue. Certain catch phrases capture my attention, making me want to see more in the series. The cinematography of each scene stays in sync with audio perfectly. The scenarios in the stories are intriguiging with humor. What fasninates me the most is the way Plummer gives each character their own personality and how he does adult female voices for the show. This man has been doing his homework. Hopefully, I'm looking forward to season 2 and I hope that this show be on TV or in film.

So to summarize it up, I credit Church with four diamonds.

Black Friday
So many commercials and advertisement on deep discount prices on mostly everything in department stores in so litle time. No wonder people are crowding for the best low prices on Christmas shopping. I wonder how the Sims shop during Black Friday, that would make an interesting scenario in story telling. People fighting over the same product, very long lines in front of the cash registers, customers complaining to the cashiers about the prices that aren't marked down like the ads, even customers pitching tents in the parking lot so they'll be the first ones in as soon as the doors open (especially while it's still dark outside).
Perhaps I can make a commercial with these block buster deals Sims 2 style. Something like television sets, stereos, coffee makers, food processors, computers, cell phones, toys, winter clothes, etc. I'll make them look like department store advertisements like Kmart, Wallmart, Best Buy, Target to name a few. It will take a little research on choosing the best discount for each item on Black Friday. When I get all the resources together, I'll make up one of the commercials with voice over and video text when I choose a couple of items for sale in Sims 2.
To make up a name for a department store is easy, I just got to choose a name that is catchy, unique and exquisive. Using a name brand for a Sims 2 commercial may be alright for some people but not for me. Copyright issues.
Making packaged items is easy, I can download images online and use them as textures for boxes like computer sets and television sets. I can use any type of sizes I want. The images online may vary. I can create departments like electronics, cookware, toys, video games, apparel, etc. What's missing is a big rolling shopping cart. Welll, I have to search online for that download. If they don't have it, then I'll find some way to make one.

Thanksgiving Sims 2 style
First of all, allow me to say Happy Thanksgiving to all my readers of Sims 2 Entertainment blog.
I have been fasnicated by the story of the first Thanksgiving share by the English Pilgrims and Indians. I wanted to use the Sims 2 animation of that historical story, but unfortunately I couldn't find and Sims 2 website that have any downloads of the pilgrim clothing. However, I do found some interesting Indian attire and the autumn food and decor i could use in this production project.
So what can you do if you can't find what you're looking for, improvise it. It's a good thing I got the full version of Milkshape so I can make new meshes for my Sims 2aparel and Blender to make objects. If I have the full version of the latest Photoshop, then I will be in great shape. But for now, I will stick with Windows Paint for textures. At least, I'm thankful that I got the tools I need to customize my Sims 2 projects. I can't wait to see the finished results.
In the meantime, enjoy these Thanksgiving video clips from Sims 2. Later.

Commercial Ideas
There are a few ideas I have in mind regarding creating my own commercials with Sims 2 animations. There are some downloadable items on numerous Sims 2 websites that copied the real popular items on the market.
Itunes commercial
Nivea Visage Commercial
Victoria's Secret Biofit Commercial
Pepsi Commercial
There are also Sims 2 commercials that improvise products and services like these:
2008 Mercedes Commercial
Clear Blue Easy Commercial
Soul Glo Commercial (taken from the movie Coming To America)
Nike Commercial
The are other Sims 2 commercials that features products and services that are custom build by various people who make videos from the Sims 2 game, like these.
Housekeeping Services
Perfume Commercial
Mood relaxing elixir commercial
All these commercials are real creative and they capture the imagination of the products and services just like real commercials advertisements. The people who created the Sims 2 animated commercials must have had a lot of experience in computer animation, video productions and voice overs. I would love to see more of them.
In fact, I got interesting ideas for my own Sims 2 animated commercials. I just need to choose the right product or service to pitch and write a brief summary plot about them, write the dialog or monologue, choose the right characters and locales, pick a scenario to relate to the product or service, then I'll create the scenes. Once i get everything in the video together, I will add voices and sound effects to the commercial. If I want to I can add background music. Perhaps I could make up jingles for the product or service. That will be fun to do.
If the product I want to pitch is not available on any Sims 2 downloads website, then I might as well invent my own by Blender. For example, I want to do a commercial on a nose spray that not only combats sinus congestion by also rhinitis (the swelling in the nose that causes congestion due to mucus inflammation). I'm interested doing a furniture commercial, kitchen appliance commercials, dating service commercials, music album commercials, hair care commercials, toy commercials, health food and products commercials, department store commercials, car rental commercials, air line commercials, cruise commercials, and clothing apparel commercials. But I also want to do something else besides that, I want to create informmercials, Sims 2 style. If I can make up some products and pitches for the Sims 2 informmecials, then it would be fun to watch for the viewers.

My own version of Pleasantview
Pleasantview, one of the most popular neighborhoods in the Sims 2 video game. The characters got their back stories which lead to the present time with current scenarios. Where each character's story is heading depends on the imagination and the direction of the game player himself or herself.
Over a couple of years, I have read many stories of the residents of Pleasantview, some are great about, others are pretty good, all of them are different. In a past few months, I started viewing many diffent video shows of Pleasantview on youtube. Most of them are series, there are also a few clips that features certatin Pleasantview characters like Bella Goth. Some clips have commercials, interviews, music videos, and PSAs that features these characters. Most of the videos use subtitles as dialogues, others use voice overs so the characters look like they're speaking the English language.
I got my own version of Pleasantview that I want to show. I want to make my Pleasantview story an epic family based soap opera that features drama, mystery, and fantasy. I want to create the kind of series that keeps the viewers wanting more. So I made up outlined scenarios with different twists. I already made a number of neighboring cities, creating a greater Pleasantview area. Plus, I'm adding new characters as new Pleasantview residents or current residents of neighboring cities. So far I've written a five season episode outline and currently writing the narrative bible for the first season. Soon I will write a script for the first season, direct the animations from the Sims 2 game and add voice overs.
Pretty soon, when I get everything together, I will post the first season of my Pleasantview soap opera on Youtube, one episode a week. I will announce the title as soon as it's ready.
